Learn Japanese with Anki
RE: Learn Japanese with Anki
Bummer, that is a real shame.
Snatching 5 minutes here and there on the go would be brilliant, I have tonnes of stuff to do whilst sat at the desktop before I can warrant my time on anki but I get more ten minute breaks at uni than I do hot meals.
I need to find someone who can mod it to run on windoze mobile. If I have any luck I'll post it back on here.

You'll have to be more specific about your problem -- downloading something has nothing to do with what platform you have or what the program is intended for.

Repose is there anyway to get cards to have the same backing? I am using the program to identify trees and have several sets of photographs that show varying forms of a tree/leaf/bark/fruit etc and they all need to have the same species name on the back.
Thanks.
Thanks.

rock lee: open a sample deck and read the FAQ: http://repose.cx/anki/wiki/FrequentlyAskedQuestions
azure: copy and paste
xsilentxtearsx: other people are using it successfully on vista. "it doesn't work" is not going to enable anyone to help you. try and be more specific.

Copy and paste doesn't work leaves the field red saying "back must be unique" - I have just put in spacing and page breaks to sort out my first deck in the mean time.

RE: Learn Japanese with Anki
I place picture A into card A front.
I place... "Acer campestre Field Maple" on the back.
I place picture B on Card B front and place "Acer campestre Field Maple" on the back - where the text goes stays red and says "Back must be unique" and won't let me save it to the deck.
I have been putting spacing in but I have 25 trees per week to learn each with 18 cards of varying structures within the tree so spacing is getting a little silly after the 15th card. : /

Okay, I see. Go into the model properties and turn off "must be unique" on the "back" field.

RE: Learn Japanese with Anki
Is there a way to use subscript and superscript? I can paste it in, but it changes back to regular. If not, that would make a cool update for me. I wanted to use anki for some compound formulas for chemistry.
Also, an image based version of the web version would be cool. I'd like to use school computers to study, but they don't have Japanese installed. And I don't think I am even allowed to install anything on them. or you could try to make it compatible with this or something...

just some suggestions. Still a great program btw

Just discovered this and want to give praise
I would have bailed on using it if the "study online" feature didn't have any synchronization.
4/5 Two thumbs up
If it were more widespread I'm sure sharing decks would be easier, but I like it so far
