Hi there
Hi, Im Ryan.
Well, I don't really know where to start. I've been trying to learn how to read and write japanese, but so far I can only write in romanji, and even then not so well. I have a basic understanding of the language, to include some of the issues with politeness most people outside of Japan may not be acustomed to, but that is mostly due to having a Japanese friend living in town and spending countless hours at his home.
Anyways, I hope to get to talk to alot of you and learn as much as I can before I make the jump into Japan. As much as I want to go, I dont feel ready yet, but I'll get there.

Welcome to TJP!
You're really lucky to have someone around to practice with.
Hopefully that will really help you out as you progress.
