Konnichi wa! 
I just joined today, but I have been using the lessons here for a few weeks. My daughter, in 2nd grade, has been learning Japanese since Kindergarten (having Japanese kids in her school, everyone's learning a bit); I found this app for her iPod - we both use it - and have started the lessons for myself here as well. She's helping me with pronunciation
Anyway, I also speak a little Spanish - my adopted grandmother is a Spaniard; I keep a family-oriented blog (listed in my profile); I've been an at-home mom for almost 8 years; I like sewing, all sorts of crafty things, and camping; my daughter and I have been watching Chi's Sweet Home on YouTube and just adore that show! Love hearing the language by native speakers, we're both picking up the flow, and words here and there.
So that's me... I tend to lurk and learn more than anything, so thanks for having me!
