A Cunning Piece of Ham
How goes it everyone?
I'm an American studying Japanese in Hitachi, Ibaraki, Japan for about 2 1/2 months (I'm almost 2 months in already), and while simply being in Japan has helped my Japanese a lot, I still have a LOOOONG way to go. Hence, I found TJP a few weeks ago just killing time while trying to get ahead a bit more in 日本語, and it ended up being so helpful that I've been coming back and ended up making an account to supplement it. I took 2 years of 日本語 at my university in the States, and ended up liking the language so much (and making a lot of Japanese friends) that I planned this (ridiculously last minute) summer study abroad trip.
Anyways, I love 日本 and 日本語 and I'm sure I always will, so I'll most likely stick around.

Welcome to the madhouse.
You're discovering, then, the great truth that there is nothing better than living there to make the skillset improve.
Have a nice oyakodon for me. I miss Japan.

Thanks guys!
Wow, I have tried everything from takoyaki to cow tongue to okonomiyaki and omuraisu but I had to look up oyakodon. It sounds awesome! I'll have one for you.
Planning a return trip anytime soon? I know I already am.
