Hello from kanjiman

Konnichiwa, minnasan!
*bows*

I'm a beginner in Japanese (about a fourth way through Genki 2) and I like Japanese movies, anime, and music.

And I like kanji. Alot of people complain about how they're hard and how there's so many of them, but for some odd reason I think they're cool. ^_^

You think that now, but how will you feel after learning to read and write thousands of them? Mwahahahaha!

The Japanese Learning Curve usually goes like this:
Start - Kanji are cool, they look so fascinating and exotic.
Begin - Kanji are hard but I love them anyway!
Middle - I HATE kanji! Why do I study this #*?! language! I've got 823 kanji down cold and I still can't read a book or a newspaper!
Finally - It was hard getting here, but now that I know the kanji they make reading so much easier that I find kana-only text horrible! Furigana is just a distraction! Don't even talk to me about romaji...
