I am "UIW no daigakusei" here in San Antonio, and I'm working my way through Japanese I. I spent 6 years in Japan, though not all at once, so you'd think I'd be better! However, I learned the useful phrases and nothing past that. I'm good with hirigana, and we'll be starting katakana soon. I can read and understand most of what we're learning, but I know that outside of class my speaking is pretty underwhelming. My class is using Genki w/ workbook, but I'm looking for willing chat partners - and by chat, I mean a typed conversation back and forth since my schedule is hectic.
