I just wanted to say hi

I discovered this site through a link posted on the forum for the business I get my Japanese language study materials (and other stuff) from ... White Rabbit Press/Express

I'm just getting started in learning Japanese ... I have the Genki series books, but based on what I have seen in here comparing them with the Minna no Nihongo series books, I may end up getting those and using them instead

the screen name I am using is my name translated from it's original German into Japanese (as close as I could get) ... because I know my real name is all but unpronounceable in Japanese


I am ex-military ... and yeah an otaku ... it is what got me interested in learning Japanese
