Hello, Konnichiwa, Bonjour, Salut, and all those other greet

Post by Kitsune-rose » Fri 04.21.2006 3:12 pm

Hi everyone! I'm Kitsune-rose, and I'm new to the site. I stumbled across this site while looking up a site to learn some Japanese, and it looks like I found one, BIG TIME. LOL! Anyway, I LOVE anime. My favorite is Yu Yu Hakusho, but I also like Fruits Basket, Inuyasha, Fullmetal Alchemist, Rurouni Kenshin, Samurai Champloo, and a whole bunch of other ones. I'm also a BIG gamer. I mean, if I'm not doing schoolwork or out with friends, I'm gaming. I like RPGs the best. I want to learn Japanese because I like the culture, and.... I like anime and Final Fantasy so much. LOL! Well, yeah, I'm new so, Hajimemashite!(Is that how you spell it?)

Note: Thanks for telling me how to spell it.

Hajimemashite! (You left out one syllable.)

You'll be able to learn a lot here, if you put in the effort.

Richvh-san is correct; you can learn a lot here, if you do the work. Welcome to the site, and good luck with your Japanese! Nice to meet you as well :)

Hajimemashite, I hope you like it here and really try to learn Japanese, feel free to ask any questions. :) またね.
Goals:
1) Have decent proficiency in Japanese, enough to get around/talk/read/write.
2) Visit Japan for a week or so one summer.

hello, if you really want to learn japanese- id suggest you put off anime for quite a while until you're familiar with japanese hierachy speech.. anime is bad influence on how you learn japanese, seriously -- same with english learners watching "south park" for learning to speak english.. well, maybe not that bad but to the extent of ... id say....... sesame street! :D just kidding, "the simpsons" --
