Shinto Theater
Hi all
If anyone is interested, I've recently published a book about my experiences with kagura (Shinto theater) in the towns and villages around Hiroshima and Shimane prefectures.
Kagura is a dynamic aspect of contemporary Japanese culture, and it deserves far more attention than it currently enjoys.
"An Invitation to Kagura" is available from lulu.com/lang-arts or from Amazon.
Also, I'm currently collecting material for another book, dealing with kagura nationwide. If anyone has stories about kagura that they would like to share, please get in touch at the website listed above.
Thanks
David Petersen
