Why is it that all the female "friends" shown in the "Japan Friends" ads displayed on the site are so photogenic? Is there some kind of vetting process to get into the club? Or are the ads just designed that way?

It's an advertisement, you don't put up ugly people in order to attract guys to meet them.
Like the late night commercials for chatting on the phone for 3 bucks a minute, those girls aren't even users!

Who knows if they use the site or not, but yeah, it's just an advertising thing.
Sex sells, even if it's just an attractive headshot, better than the non-photogenic girls that could be thrown on instead.

I thought they were changing regularly, so I didn't consider that possibility (how could they get so many?), but they do seem to be repeating now.
