Johnny Be Good on shamisen

In Oz we have a music quiz show called "Spicks and Specks" (after the Brothers Gibb song). Some episodes they have a segment where music to well know songs is "produced" in a way that makes the song difficult to identify. Recently they had a shamisen player, Noriko Tadano, play an aria from Madame Butterfly, Baby Face, Man I Feel Like A Woman, What's My Scene and Six Months in A Leaky Boat.

At the end of the show she played Johnny Be Good accompanied by Dave Faulkner on guitar. There is a clip of that on youtube.

Some of the most painful parties I ever went to were in Japan, yeah. Nothing like relentless adherence to a schedule to suck the fun and life out of an evening of drinking and games.
