What do you think those 'ganguro' girls would think if they saw you all dressed up in your samurai outfit??
Don't know. Frankly, don't care. :)

Those of us who are into historical reenactment -- whether we're in ACW uniforms, RevWar, ECW, 100 Years War, or whatever, know some people think its strange. (Or worse -- I have friends who reenact WWII, and the ones doing Germany tend to get hell from people who don't realize its NOT REAL.) Besides, we do it on our own, for ourselves. Not out in front of the train station and walking around town. We don't parade our eccentricities -- or idiocies -- for the world.

Tony-san,

You know, I kind of dig your samurai costume, too. Do your thing. I just think it's a little unbecoming for you to call them stupid for doing their thing. Strange? Silly? Sure. Stupid? That seems a bit harsh to me.

Cheers.

As my mom used to say, "I call them like I see them."

Ugh, yuck. I had voted in that poll on the right saying that I never heard of a ganguro, but now that I have seen them, I can honestly say: Hell no!!!!!! Yuck! Ugh. :@

EDIT: Oh, God! I just noticed AKIO's ganguro pictures he posted. Ugh!!! Now that's just plain creepy. :|

never heard of mana? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Mana_glb_21.jpg
He's a guy. If you don't know him he looks like a nice girl. He may be weird but he's talented and I think he shouldn't be judged merely on looks. Like the ganguro.

I usually don't judge people on looks, but you have to admit to a geiji he looks kinda weird.

Oh my...

..
.....
........

On an earlier note, I have to admit I did ask my husband out when we first met based only on his looks (he reminded me of the pilot on the old "Airwolf" show) and he's admitted to me that he only went out with me because he couldn't say "no." Then I grew on him! :D We'll be married 12yrs this October!

We did the Ren-faire thing while we were dating and really enjoyed the comments from the Gas Station Clerks when we stopped for gas - in full costume! :D
