RE: What Instrument do you play?
I've tried but the circular breathing is a killer. I'm the guy tapping the two sticks together

Don't complain to me that people kick you when you're down. It's your own fault for lying there

Electone for about 20 years.
Have you ever seen or heard about the electone outside of Japan?
It is not as popular as the piano, but it's a great instrument.

This year would be the start of my tenth (10th) as a trumpet player. I've also taken piano lessons for about a year; I haven't come too far along there, but I still love to play it. I'm even writing a few pieces of my own for it.

Guitar and harmonica for 2 years, I'm looking for something different to learn.

That's awesome! I love bassoon, it's a pity that it's not used more often as a solo instrument.Tspoonami wrote:
Bassoon ftw.
Did I say awesome? Now, that's AWESOME! You assembled a pipe organ of your own! I wish I knew the experience of playing a huge pipe organ in a church (and there are many of those around here: Spain is filled with Christian churches, and many have an organ).Axlen wrote:
For a while I was really interested in theater pipe organs. Before I was married I collected enough old organ parts to assemble a 4 rank pipe organ in my parents basement. It was a lot of fun to build and it really shook the house when I played it. Eventually I sold it to a local church.
Now about myself, I used to play guitar too... but Spanish guitar. Now I play the baritone larynx.

I'm learning the guitar at the moment and I can play the ocarina (a replica of The Ocarina of Time, from The Legend of Zelda: The Ocarina of Time).
I used to play the recorder when I was about 7 or 8, my school forced everyone to play it
.
I also sing but I don't know if I'm good or not. I've never sang infront of anyone, my grandfather (mother's side) was a brilliant singer and everyone on my mother's side except one of my uncles can sing well, so I think I should be good.

I play in local amateur theatre pit orchestras, where it's necessary to double up on woodwind instruments. My main instrument is flute, then saxophone, then clarinet.
I've dabbled in other instruments, but nothing else really stuck. I sing in church choir also, or at least try to....

Guitar for about 23 years...Oh, and you really can't master it...you can tame it if you practice, but you will never be the master of it...

I think I'm about the hundredth person to say it, but yeah, I play the guitar. Also the piano, but not as much as the guitar. I took violin lessons for like 4 years, but it never really clicked with me. Aside from the "recorder days" of elementary school, I still have to re-learn the recorder now in music class in order to graduate

Had 3 years of piano... I don't remember too much by heart, but I could probably pick it back up without too much work (though, I do not have much desire to).
I can also "play"(though not nessicarily good) the Ocarina (12 hole, Japanese style. I never did take the time to learn how to play the 4-hole "toy" types). However, the only Ocarina I have, is one I made out of clay, and due to my poor craftsmanship, can only make a little over an octave and still sound decent.
