ImageMagick for the WIN!!! all of my avatars have been cropped and resized from some other source by using the 'convert' part of ImageMagick from the commandline.... it handles animated gif's as well

I wish I had something that could crop gif's....or could resize properly. It took me forever to find the crop and resize features on paint.

You can even do it with MS Paint! There's a stretch function; just stretch it to 50% horizontally then 50% vertically (or however small you want it).

My daughter drew my avatar when she was in high school. I wanted a character to put on my web site so I asked her to come up with something. It's supposed to be a representation of me.



A couple of years ago I adapted it for use as an avatar. I always think of my daughter when I see it
