I do have a popup blocker. They're not 100% perfect, you know. Every now and then one slips through.

Believe it or not, that file path doesn't display on the internet.

as you can see on this page, for ear piercing they do not use a needle. the actual starter stud is in a sterile disposable cartridge that pushes the stud through and sets it and that's it.

if you are considereing having it done, do a search on the web for claire's (a boutique in most malls ) that sells jewelry and does the piercings. make sure you talk it over with your parents as they have to sign a waver as you are still under that age of 18.

Oh dear god no.
Using a needle is by far better than using a piercing gun for any piercing. Piercing guns have a higher risk of transmitting blood-borne diseases.

Something like that should really be bolstered by a link to some statistics or an authoritative source. That would help people to know that you're stating facts instead of an opinion.

And I believe that probably doesn't apply to one-time-use disposable sterile guns.

then you need to find a new place to go. sterile equipment is the only way to do it.. if the place you go to doesn't clean the gun as well as the insert, just walk away. the peircing gun in my opinion is not only safer, but it is faster and it puts the person recieving the piercing at ease.. unlike some other ways .... again my opinion, feel free to disagree if you'd like.

I am aware of that.. I hate the popups that sneak through, they are usually the worst kind..

Not that I don't think you're one swell fella or anything like that, but I trust the opinion of the guys-n-gals at the world-renowned Mayo Clinic over yours. Something (in the link I provided) about autoclaving and smushing flesh....

as i mentioned in a prior posting on just this very same topic, you must do your research and go with what you are comfortable with. some people who receive piercings actually want the pain, and the damage.. not sure why, but they are out there. Some people don't even care about risk either..

The mayo clinic certainly is right is showing what things to be cautious of. but just like driving, no matter how much caution is taken there is certain to be incidents that occur outside what is expected.

This has me laughing as I look around my house. The first room of my house is basically a pathway that goes to either my computer or the rest of my house cluttered by boxes, papers, unused electronics, and random stuff I broke.
