Why do you need a Japanese school uniform?
Two muffins were baking in an oven. One turns to the other and says "sure is hot in here." The other replies "AH TALKING MUFFIN!"
二つのマフィンがオーブンで焼かれていた。片方のマフィンがもう一方のマフィンに向かって、"暑いね”と言った。すると、話しかけられたほうのマフィンは"アッ!喋るマフィンだ!”と驚いた。 :)

I've found places to buy them for people overseas before. But what always happens is the person says:
1. Wow! That's too expensive!
2. The site is in Japanese and I can't read it.
3. The site doesn't accept foreign orders.
4. The site doesn't accept credit cards and I have to make a bank transfer.
5. I don't know enough Japanese to order it. Will somebody do it all for me for free?
In other words....none of them ever go to the effort of actually getting one, so I no longer to to the effort of finding sources for them.

Oo. I have never heard of cosplay until now. I just googled it. Interesting...

Well if you pm me in june or july (depending on when I go back to Japan) then I could ship you one,
The actual uniforms in Japan are a bit expnsive, then there is the shiping cost.
<-- that would still be a problem.1. Wow! That's too expensive!

Actually, I find cosplay slightly disturbing. Why would go through all that trouble just to dress up like an anime character? (especially if ur a 35 year old guy dressed as Naruto XD) Reminds me of comic book cons, but at least those are interesting

It's not that I'm not knowledgeable, I just have trouble explaining the things I know ;)

I'm starting to think I could make a nice little sideline business selling used uniforms to overseas cosplay nuts.

you probably wont make much, your suppose to make your own costumes for cosplays, to make things worse, theres more creepyer pics then a 35 year old naruto, once you turn like 25 you shouldnt do cosplay and 25 is kindof old for it.(should stop at 19-21

The used panties are so popular, why not?

They're actually pretty easy to find if the OP will use Japan Google and search on 学生服 and 中古.

actually there's well known cosplay stores that make a lot more money than you would think. Since they design to match specific characters, apparently they can charge over $100(US) per outfit.
and now I feel bad. I'm 22 but still think cosplay is fun >=D. Personally, I think it would be awesome if some おばあさん cosplays as Genkai from Yu Yu Hakusho or something matching the age. But then again, I'm not really sane/mature.
