I smuggled beef jerky passed customs, it was quite exhilarating.
Be careful what you admit to. The interweb is monitored you know. :tin-foil hat:

LOL Nobody notices when I disappear.
Then again, i'm not as well-known as you, particularly since I changed my username from "Takeo Saeki". I was most active when that was my username. I was a little active after I changed it, but lately it's every month or so I get on TJP for a few days and then I get bored with it again. LOL So most people don't notice.

I'm hardly on the boards enough to notice if someone leaves in the first place :p I did notice that Harisenbon seemed to cease existance for a few months, though.
At any rate, welcome back!

Marxism, Communism....read both as "Idiocy".

It might work on paper but not in real life. There's a reason all these communists countries are rejecting communism more and more each year. Even China has begun privitizing much of its economy.

Before a little while ago, I wasn't on very much... But I used to be on A LOT earlier this year and ever since this website was made. I think I wasn't missed because I mainly posted in the anime and manga threads, and now I've been maturing towards the fact that I'm trying to work harder on learning Japanese (instead of just reading my mangas and buying them nonstop).

I notice that sometimes. A person I've never seen before (because I don't look at the anime/manga/music/game/introduction areas) with a fairly high post count comes along and asks some really, really basic question about Japanese.
Nothing wrong with that. It's a good thing. But it makes me wonder what the hell they've been doing on a Japanese language learning site for all those months and through all those hundreds of posts....while apparently having made little to no effort to learn anything whatsoever.
I suppose if I'd poke my beak into the Dark Side of TJP I'd soon have my answer, but that's too high a price to pay for an education.

Do you mean anything about the Japanese language
or anything about Japan in general? I think there are
plenty of threads about Japanese culture, society and
language etc. that don't require even the basics of the
actual language for people to take part in them. While
the language learning portion of the website and forums
is great, there's still plenty of interesting topics outside
the language learning here. If you can plough through
this website for months without learning anything about
Japan that would certainly be odd but Japanese language
learning is something that's not necessary to appreciate
this website or to contribute to it.

I meant about the Japanese language, since that is ostensibly the main focus of the site.
More particularly, though, I would expect that people so interested in media (anime/music) which is in the Japanese language would be more interested in learning Japanese. But that seems not to be the case.
