Haha, you would think. He actually reminded me more of Groundskeeper Willy from the Simpsons. Specifically whenever Willy rips / has his shirt ripped off and reveals his surprisingly massive pectoral muscles.

I'm not sure that's relevant with respect to influence on the world scene. The reson the EU isn't (and won't be any time soon) a world leader in terms of political issues (they do have a lot of economic clout) is because of the lack of common foreign, and to a lesser extent, military policy.
