Paul_B back (for a bit anyway)
Today my computer died. So I can't do any actual work until it gets fixed (hopefully soon).
I disappeared rather abruptly, the truth is that my health has been really sucky for a long time and I just haven't had time to do the things I'd like to do (e.g. posting here). I don't care much for moaning about my health - it just makes me (and others) depressed (and / or bored) - but you deserve an explanation.
Anyway I'll probably be around for a few days while my computer is being fixed. After that I hope to return more permanently when my health improves.

Word of your health troubles is, perversely, good news.
I was worried that you were dead.

You can catch me in Edict - that was one thing I didn't give up.

I'm also still maintaining the example sentences for WWWJDIC (although it was rather touch and go as to whether I would have to give up that too. :-/ )

Thanks everyone. I just hope my _computer_ gets better soon.
I've done a lot of work on the kanji learning program - if the hard disk is gone I'm going to be really >_<v

Jeez, Paul, I had no idea.
I hope you're all peachy soon -- but I hope your computer keeps causing you to come back and visit us, though.

Good to see you. You never know what happens to someone when they suddenly disappear from the Internet.

I'd seen you posting on s.l.j. (among other places) so knew that your absence from here was just an acute (or perhaps chronic) attack of Real Life, but of course wasn't aware of its nature.
Hope your health improves, and your hard drive survives.

Welcome back, Paul!
I was also worried. It's good to have you back!
Now, let's see... what happened while you weren't here? Oh, yeah, Akiru happened.

Good to have you back, indeed.
Not so good if it's only for a few days, though.
So, get better and stick around for good.

Good God. That thread reminds me of back when I used the heavily troll-infested message boards at IMDb. We had situations like that at least on a weekly basis. I stopped using IMDb over a year ago because of that. Actually I still have an account there, but I don't use it much. Just to pop a question now and then. But man, that site was notorious for trolls.
