Is anyone still reading this?
No need for a body... the heading is self-explanatory.

I'm going to take a wild guess and suppose that he is referring to "The Elephant's Child".

No, I think he means 夜のくもざる (look at the forum he posted in), and as it happens, I recently resumed reading it. I'm currently on 虫窪老人の襲撃.

Thanks, Rich. I ordered the book (from White Rabbit Press) shortly after I joined, and it took a month to get here, not sure why.
Anyway, I got it yesterday, read ホルン last night before class, and I'll do my best to catch up.

It would be nice to keep this going especially since so many people bought the book.
Let's post any problems, questions or interesting (to you) passages.

I've read several little... sketches I guess might be the word... so far. Had to stop to finish a bunch of dictionary entries.
It's surprisingly tough -- not the vocabulary so much, but getting plunged into a detailed fantasy world every couple of pages and having to figure out what is going on. If you misunderstand a sentence, or misconstrue the relationship between a couple of sentences, you can get tangled up.
This happened to me on the フリオ・イグレシアスsketch. I must have reread that first paragraph twenty times trying to get my bearings...

I really enjoyed it, although (or maybe because) a lot of the stories didn't really make much sense. It's definately worth a read, especially since so many other people here have read it too. Each story is only a few pages long so it's not so hard to read either.
