RE: Any miniature gamers here?
actually as a hobby card collecting or miniature collecting is only as expensive as you can handle.. some, like myself have collected models for nearly 20 years and have thousands if not 10's of thousands of dollars worth of stuff. but just like any hobby, hot rodding cars, drafting, etc, it can get out of hand as well..
in my collecting days, i could spend more on cards than anything else.. now i don't touch them at all.. just my preferance more than anything else..
i like to paint models and then push them around on the table..
by the way, a well build tau army is hard to do anything against.. believe me i know.

I gave up on GW a while back. But I play Warmachine now, with a sizeable Protectorate force. I still have a few Magic decks lying around.

Hmm, uh yeah. Sorry about that.
If that's the case, can this be moved to off-topic discussion?

I played magic in the 90's i spent a total of $3.75 and just traded my way up to have over 8,000 cards. Then i sold them all on ebay.
So you dont need to spend much on those types of games, just be good at making other people want your stuff.

Everybody use your Mercantile Skills!
And its true every hobby will cost you a lot but maybe because its these tiny plastic figures or plastic cards that make it look relatively expensive to what you get.
Did that make any sense?

Good luck with studying everybody and I hope one day I will be able to pick it back up.
Until then, a nice goodbye from me to you

Don't worry. I have spent only about 450 euros on Warhammer.

hahaha, basically every hobby is mental illness if you see how much money people are willing to pay for it. That counts for me too, im really into gaming and playing the bass guitar and believe me, that already costed my thousands toohyperconjugated wrote:

there is a thin line between everything you do and mental illness.. just being alive is walking a line of life and death..hyperconjugated wrote:

how about studying japanese, that will either make you a better linguist or make you a better candidate for a straight jacket.

besides what is a hobby? it is something you spend time, money and energy on when you have spare time, money and energy.. if youcan't or don't enjoy it, why the hell would you do it?
