Disqus (new comment system)

In a fit of infatuation I installed Disqus on TJP to replace the Drupal comments. (see the bottom of any article page)

I'm pretty sure I want to take it down since 1) it doesn't pull the username from who is logged in and 2) it uses extra resources.

But what are your thoughts? Do you like it enough to keep it? Or should it go away?

I say if it doesn't use the Drupal information, it's really not very useful to the site as a whole.

Yeah, you are probably right. I'll leave it for now, but move it under the 'real' comment section.
