yeah, it makes me sad. it looks really cool. i'm scotch irish in heritage, but i've never been there. i did find a site where i could learn, but like i said earlier, it's really hard. nothing is pronounced the way it looks. i'd hate for it to disappear completely though.

If pronunciation is a problem for you (which I can imagine, because Scottish Gaelic spelling tends to be very histiorical), maybe Irish would be a better choice. It's spoken by a lot more people - though it's still very much a minority language in Ireland - and it went through a spelling reform in 1948 which did away with some of the historical elements in the written language, so the pronunciation should be more straight-forward as well.

that's a good idea, but i should probably only focus on what i've got going on now. learning two languages at once fills my plate up as is XD some people think i'm crazy for it, but i don't mind.
