i understand everything except what uwasa is standing for
could you please explain what is the meaning?

so i think the translation would be like the following,
"according to the rumor,with the help of demons,the former feudal lord was brought down ."
there may be a better translation though.

Its more like "(they) brought down the former feudal lord".

Oh,yes ,it's not 倒しられた its 倒した.so you're right.
