Genki Chapter 13 Lesson 6 Question (New Edition)

Postby シドニ » Sat 06.07.2014 6:57 pm

Lesson 6, chapter 13 in the Genki textbook is giving me a hard time. It is 一週間に三回。(period) に (frequency)
I understand that for the lesson is trying to teach me how to say, 'I do something a certain number of times', but how do I write a month, two months, three months etc? Basically what I am trying to say is how do I write the moths, days, and years if it is more than one, for example 6 months, or 5 years.
How do I do the same thing for the frequency? :?:

Thanks in advance

The 一週間 is one week interval, so you could replace that with 二週間 ( 2 week interval )、四週間 ( 4 week interval ) etc.

months 月 3 months 三月間 6 months, 六月間 etc.

years, 年 六年間 6 year interval

Then just follow any of those with に X 回

二年間に一回 would be once every 2 years

There are a few exceptions with pronunciation as well.

This wraps it up nicely I think though for counting months and years.

Hope that helps :)
