View topic - Heavily Abbreviated Kanji
I've come across these abbreviated kanji while looking through some handwritten papers in Japanese.
My question is: Would native-speaking/writing Japanese be able to figure out what these are? It seems that the kanji are too abbreviated/messy for someone to read. I only knew what they were because they were part of a name I knew. If it weren't for that, I would have no clue what they were. Thanks. -Eric

Some of those are 異体字, others just abbreviated cursive forms, which are not necessarily standard.
