one of my many posts-is it true that only the girls in harajuku do cosplay or do the guys too? and how are african americans seen as in Japan? by that,i mean are they uncommon? thanks

i was honestly surprised by the number of blacks i saw in tokyo, especially around the shibuya area. i was told they own hiphop clothing stores and the like. anyway, maybe they're not the most common gaikokujin you'll find in japan, but they're there.

A lot of the "blacks" in Japan are not "African-American". In fact there is a surprisingly large population of Africans from various countries in Japan. I just thought it would be important to address the distinction in this thread.
