What Japanese music do you like?

I really really adore Miyavi. He is awesome at the guitar (because that's how he joined the Duele Quartz) and his singing earlier on was screamy-yelly stuff, but now it's calmed down a bit. In my opinion, his music is like nothing I've ever heard before...and that's a good thing!

What i think is the only reason people like Ayumi and Utada is becuase they don't know any one else i mean how can you possibly like Ayumi so much she sounds like shes pluging her noes while she sings... oh well I like Mika Nakashima

Garr, ayumi rocks. She USED to sound like she's plugging her nose (A Song for XX album)
Basically everyone likes her for her lyrics (unless you're an anime poser) which is unlikely...:cough: maybe. Anyway, read the lyrics for ayumi, they are so sad, they like her because she pours her heart into her music.

Look there. Most fans like her as a person and not her voice (even though her voice rocks) and i just barely heard Utada for the first time today and i loved her instantly.

Gravitation T.V. Tracks is pretty good, I mean they have a lot of songs where no body sings, but the beats are pretty awesome. There are some songs that they do and it's really awesome I listened to it like a million times. xD

i've said it before, but i'll repeat myself anyway. i'm a fan of 坂本龍一 (sakamoto ryuuichi) and 忌野清志郎 (imawano kiyoshirou) mostly, and naturally their related groups, YMO (yellow magic orchestra) and RCサクセション (rc succession). sakamoto is a classically trained musician, imawano an eccentric rock star the equal of a david bowie in terms of talent and influence. both are among japan's most recognizable pop icons, sakamoto being undeniably japan's most famous musican abroad. i've seen them both in concert, and both of those were the best concerts i've been to.
