A kanji from Zelda: A Link to the Past
I'm making a text dump of the game The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, since I couldn't find such a dump online. To do this I needed to decode the 256 (or more... it looks like there may be a few I haven't gotten) kanji used in the game. This involved feeding a bunch of numeric codes into the game, seeing what they print on the screen, and writing down the results. I was able to figure out all of them except for this one:
I'm guessing it might be 廣, but I'm not sure. Here are a few random examples of how it's used in the game:
By the way, if you see any possible mistakes in the above transcriptions, let me know. There shouldn't be any, though.
So what do you think this mystery kanji is?

Well, how about 魔? Seems to fit the context better than your candidate.

It's definitely 魔.
(廣 is an old-form kanji for 広 that nowadays is only used in names.)

Well no wonder I couldn't get it. The 林 part had been reduced to only a couple of pixels. Now that I see the actual kanji I realize it is an RTK1 kanji after all, too...
Thanks, guys.
