View topic - Japan Bowl in D.C.
The Japan Bowl® was created by the Japan-America Society of Washington DC in 1992. It is an academic competition that tests the achievements of high school students throughout the United States who are studying the Japanese language. But the Japan Bowl goes beyond language. It also tests the students’ knowledge of “Japan, the country.”
The National Japan Bowl competition is held each spring. The format is modeled on popular quiz shows such as “It's Academic.” Teams from across the nation compete for two days at three different levels, depending on how long they have studied Japanese.
If you take Japanese in high school, and you haven't heard about it, ask your teacher.
The problem is my school doesn't fund it, so some how I'm going to have to come up with the money to go >.<
