Summer Jobs

Hey, This thread has two points:
1) Has anyone had any summer jobs abroad in japan? Maybe teaching english or just working in industry or the equivilient.
2) Has anyone any tips about getting a summer job abroad? Apart from just applying to everything. Do you know of any good sites or ways to do it?
I have googled it and come up with a few sites but if someone can recommend a few pointers that would be dandy.
