New to learning Nihon go, please help?

Ok I am new to learning japanese but highly interested. I already learned hiragna and picked up a few words and small phrases. Now where do I go from here? I read the FAQ and it said katakana but that wont take long so i need the next step after that. where do i start for learning to speak it? I went to japan before and I loved and now I can not get enough of it.

After the kana, you need to learn enough grammar to make understandable sentences, and enough vocabulary to make meaningful sentences. A good place to start is Tae Kim's grammar guide. And get into the chat and practice!

My first suggestion is to get a textbook. There is no substitute for the structured learning within a textbook.

I downloaded the Zip file on the site and my Virus Checker popped up saying it had a virus!!! And I was at work as well

I think your workplace and / or virus checker is screwy. I just downloaded and checked it and there wasn't anything even slightly dubious in there.
