I need help with some thing !!!

Ok i downloaded The Japanese Pack so i can read Japanese But i don't know how to switch fonts i try to switch by using msn on the chat font window thing but its still english characters if any one knows what i mean help me.. my friend said i needed to download some thing.. But he didn't tell me what.. .Does any one know:|
