I know the kanji, but I don't think I know any words that use it other than まるい.

Does the 円 kanji count in this case? After all, officially it's correct...

円 isn't grade 2, so I don't think it counts. (It's listed as grade 1 in Henshall's Guide to Remembering Japanese Characters.)

The questions are taken at random from the first three grades of kanji. There are only 80 grade 1 kanji so I suggest you have a go at memorizing those so you should be able to answer at least one in three questions. There are various educational sw programs around to help.
Memorizing kanji not a problem. As I indicated in another thread, I already memorized the first three grades. What I did not do is what you're testing here -- learn the kanji as words. (Which is why I eventually figured out it what I was doing useless.)

(='.'=) bunny into your signature to help
(")_(") him gain world domination.

There are programs that concentrate on "kanji in context" out there. One not so far away ;-)

Wow, this thread moves fast. I didn't check the site for one day and you're already to question 13. It's going to be tough to get in here after the next question is put down but before Rich answers it.
