I recall my first year learning Japanese at school we were practicing a dialogue where I had to ask the resturant staff if they had fried chicken (or something like that).
Me: フライドちかんがありますか?
先生:ちかん。。。?(痴漢)

Also, there have been several occasions where someone said: 水がほしい!のどがある。
(Meaning to say のどがかわく)。

Please enlighten us. All I know is when I write <person>は<other person>に行きました in my story, it gets corrected to <person>は<other person>のところに行きました。
