That's an impossibly vague question in a lot of ways. What do you really want to know?

Yep, there are 10 types of people in this world. Those that can think in binary and those that can't B)

You're at the level you're at. What does it matter what name one applies to it?

I can't help but think of Mr. Miyagi answering Daniel about his belt:

"What kind of belt do you have?"

"Canvas. You like? J.C. Penney"

"I meant..."

"In Okinawa a belt means no need rope hold up pants."
Never underestimate my capacity for pettiness.

unless the are trying to figure out what materials to buy for study. then, because of marketing, one must understand what "level" they are at. other than that, I would agree Mike.

I missed the joke. Is there something special about the number or is it supposed to look like something?

Yeah it's equal to 101010 and 6 x 7. It is the answer to life and the universe. It means you're in a place where you should always know where your towel is, and that you should not panic.

By the way, traditionally, Japanese studies never really have levels (in most cases, if not all I think) unless they were brought in from the Western world. I think it is better not to know where you are at, but rather to get the drive just to do what it is you want rather than reach a specific "level."

It is something to do with The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.
