i am a linguistics major looking to do a special major with languages. my language of choice is japanese. unfortunately, i'm having problems getting into many of the courses required for both japanese and linguistics (either they are full or are not being offered). i wish to study in japan and i was wondering if the universities in japan offer a lot of classes or are they just very basic. i am aware that each university is different, but a general idea would help in deciding if i should continue with this special major. since i am a transfer that switched majors and i am considered a 3rd year, i am behind. "i don't want to bit off more than i can chew." i appreciate your help.
