You ever noticed how "cynical" has taken on a connotation of "mistaken"?

Just because one is cynical doesn't mean one is wrong. It has never bothered me to be considered cynical when I know that I'm right.

I think the bulk of the reaction to our polycephalic friend's comment had to do with the other emotionally loaded term he used.
