The Particle Wo???

Postby street fighter » Sat 07.30.2005 4:18 pm

Ive heard of the particle wo in some anime and on this site a bit, but in my books I cannot find it... I don't know how its used, so if someone would be kind enough to help me out, it would be appreciated. (I originally thought that it was interchangeable with o but im not sure)
Thanks in advance,

ok, the partical wo (を) or more commonly known as o (cos its ment to be pronounced this way, but many japanese people also pronounce it as wo) is used to show objects with action.

object WO action

For example,

(jp.) Nihongo wo benkyou shite
(lit.) Japanese(obj.) wo studying(verb.)
(eng.) Studying japanese

(jp.) Doa wo akete
(lit.) Door(obj.) wo open(verb.)
(eng.) Open the door

ummm i hth, and can someone check if im right cos im not the best person at teaching things....lol
