されまで
The other day, while reading a book, I stumbled across a strange phrase, namely "告示されまで、” (no further context, infortunately that's all I have : I usually write on a notepad the things I find strange, but I didn't even note the page where the original sentence appears). So, is it common to use the ren'youkei like that and is it different from using the rentaikei ? Can it only be used with "made", or are there other instances where it's possible ? And finally, can it be used with the active voice as well ?

Re: されまで
告示され is a noun form of 告示される, I think, so まで goes after it like any other noun.

Re: されまで
Just like "終わりまで"
(i.e. "until the end" instead of "until it ends")
(i.e. "until the end" instead of "until it ends")

Re: されまで
Exactly ! But somehow, I was just not too comfortable with the verb being in the passive, and I still tend to be careful with the "ren'youkei = noun" thing in certain contexts (which is ridiculous, granted). Next time, I'll try to cast my doubts aside and think rationally, I promise
