Anyone know what this sentence means? I can't figure out the last verb (tachimashita)

大学を卒業してからもう七年たちました

Thanks

たつ (tatsu) is the original form of the verb which means to pass.
Seven years have passed. (7年たちました)

Ahh, now when you say it like that I feel almost stupid ><
I really need to get the hang of deconjugating verbs.

Thanks,
That really helped me out

it might have been easier if they had used the kanji for it.. 経つ 【たつ】 to pass; to lapse .. there are quite a few different kanji for tatsu, so it's easy to get confused when it's in kana form.
