surname + name-sama OR surname-sama + name?
みんなさん、こんにちは!
I've a question.
I need to send a letter to my japanese friend. It'll be a surprise for "her" :p
Somebody told me I must use "-sama" when i write the name on the envelope.
So my question is: -sama goes after the name or the surname?
Thank you!

Re: surname + name-sama OR surname-sama + name?
That's actually a tricky question.
The sama will go at the end of however you address the letter.
If you are addressing it in Japanese, it would be
SURNAME NAME 様
高木 花子 様
if you are just using their last name it would be
SURNAME 様
高木 様
If you are addressing it in English (well, you really don't need the sama, but if you want to put it on anyways)
NAME SURNAME 様
Hanako Takagi 様
So on your letter you will have
NAME SURNAME 様
ADDRESS
CITY, PREFECTURE ZIP
JAPAN

While we're at it, it's みなさん, not みんなさん. Though, oddly, you can spell it with ん if you don't use it with さん.

Thanks for the replies. I always used minnasan, and I didn't know I was mistaken. Thank you for the correction.
So I'll write on the envelope: 浦上理子様
