After completing genki II and Studying alot online I've roughly have come to understand all japanese verb types (or at least all types I know of) I will try to see if I know them with the word for shopping:

Wal-martに買い物に行くのは大嫌いよ。　Non-past
今買い物に行っています。　Te-form
僕らは買い物に行った。　Past
買い物に行こうよ。　Volitional
ケーキを作ったり買い物に行ったり。　Alternative
買い物に行けば、高いものが持って行かないのだ。Provitional
あの店によく買い物に行かれています。Passive　
若いので、買い物に行けなかった。　Potential(negative)
それは買い物に行かせた。　　Causative
昨日お母さんと一緒に買い物に行かせられた。　Caus-Passive　
明日ギター・センターに買い物に行くだろう。　Conjectural
僕に買い物に行きなさい。　　Imperative

If I'm not mistaken, you should use する to end off clauses using ～たり forms, because adding ～たり makes the phrase into an adverb - so there must be a verb to modify.

e.g.
〔ケーキを作ったり〕〔買い物に行ったり〕しました。
I did [things like making cake] and [things like going shopping].

Though I'm not sure if you'd need to keep the する if you were answering the question 「何をしましたか」, so if I'm completely wrong, please disregard this post!~

Well...because there isn't a subject and a verb here, I can't tell if it's correct. This is only a phrase but a sentence.

It's 敬語. "S/he often goes to that shop for shopping."
(EDIT: Strictly speaking, it might be a misusage as proper 敬語.)

I'm not quite sure what you mean by "potential", though...
Literally translated, it means "because I was (too) young, I was not able to go shopping".
And, in Japanese, 若い usually means "young adult", not a child. So, this sentence sounds a little bit odd to me.

Yes, that's causative. But WHO let WHOM go shopping? それ? Inanimate subject?

僕に買い物に行きなさい。　　Imperative

Imperative form can't have subject "I" (the person who takes the order).
