room number

Hello again everyone

When I tried to translate ROOM NUMBER into Japanese I wrote : 部屋番号 (heya bangou).
But one day someone told me I could also say 部屋番 (heya ban) or 部屋番目 (heya ban me).
So... which one is correct?
In examples like...

部屋番号は10です or 部屋の番号は10です
部屋番は10です or 部屋の番は10です
or
部屋番目は10です. (but I think this sentence is not correct at all) - I would rather say 10番目の部屋...
I don't know ;p Could You help me?

And one more thing. I can't think of a proper sentence to say :" Room number 10 is (on the right)". 部屋番号は10です. ? Or maybe 部屋番は10です.? And what about ごうしつ? 部屋ごうしつは10です or 部屋のごうしつは10です

Thanks for the answer. You helped me I've heard about this word (but my dictionary says it is not a commonly used word). So.. Could I say 10ごうしつ or should I use particle の (10のごうしつ) ? Or maybe the only correct combination is ごうしつは10です ? Please give me some example sentenctes with this word!

And one more question. In case I didn't want to use ごうしつ. Please answer to questions in my previous post. I would like to know how to use BANGOU, BANME, how to say "ROOM NUMBER IS 5 "or "ROOM NUMBER 10 IS (far away from here)" and so on

I think ルームナンバー is almost Japanese word in most of the Japanese hotels.
