What's the difference between すべてand全部
What's the difference between すべてand全部
I've seen both used under almost the same context, so when do I use each?
Re: What's the difference between すべてand全部
They are the same in meaning.
ぜんぶ sounds more casual than すべて.
For instance, children under 10 wouldn’t use すべて, generally speaking.
And you wouldn't see ぜんぶ much in academic essays.

Well, I don’t know if it worth replying, though...
全部 has the meaning of "complete" as well and すべて can mean "all part of something".
That’s only half-right.jimfaster wrote:"すべて" has the meaning of "complete" and "全部" are all part of something.
