View topic - けど sketchin me out
So, I was looking back at some notes earlier, and noticed a sentence that threw me off a bit.
My translation: If I had money, however, I would buy a car.
since there's んです, then I'd probably be saying that because I really need a car of something, I think.
Anyways, not sure if my use of けど is right... but just to be safe from any confusion...

'If I had the money, I would buy a car though.'
I think your translation is spot on, but the Japanese sentence you wrote says お金がなかったら (if I didn't have money.) 'however' works well here as a translation of 'kedo'
