~おごっていただくというわけにはいきません

Hello! I was studying using the "Integrated Approach to Intermediate Japanese" when I came across this sentence which I can't quite make out

いつも先生におごっていただくというわけにはいきません.

It's two sensei speaking, and the sentence before sensei A says he's going to pay for dinner (like a boss), then sensei B says that sentence above, and I can understand that he says that he's not going to pay, because he can't always have Sensei A treating him?? I think what's really confusing me is the おごっていただくという part...

So if someone could explain I would really appreciate it!!

おごる　＝　To treat someone (to a meal)

おごっていただく　＝　おごってもらう　＝　Get someone to treat you (to a meal)

If I say that much does it become clear?

Thanks so much for your post! I understand that the sensei is getting treated to the meal, but I think what I want to know is why she says おごっていただくというわけ～ as opposed to just saying おごっていただくわけ～.

I think the first one sounds less direct, but I'm not entirely sure

Yeah I'd judge the difference on your own instincts, I don't think it would be a massive problem to leave out the という although I think it sounds better with
