質素と簡潔

Postby QuakerBits » Mon 12.03.2012 8:35 pm

どうも^^

context
部屋の中で僕と二人きりになっても彼女としてはそんなことは気にもしていないみたいだった。余計なものの何もないさっぱりとした部屋で、窓隣の隅の方にストッキングが干してなかったら女の子の部屋だとはとても思えないくらいだった。彼女はとても質素に簡潔に暮しており、友だちも殆んどいないようだった。

Quick question first, does the に here mean "and"? I think I came across に being used as "and" before, but I can't member.. but it kinda makes sense in this context, so I will think of it as such below until/unless corrected(:

Now.. if I were to translate the bolded sentence would this right?

"She lived very simple and conciseness....."

They are both な adjectives turned to adverb form (the な turns to に)

I might translate 簡潔 here as 'neatly' but that's up to you. 'She lived a neat and simple life...' or something like that.
なぜなら、おまえは・・・・・・人形だ

Thank uew! Neat def. sounds more natural(easier? lol) to say than the latter! But i never would of got that from the latter. I noticed when I often look up words the English is something I've never seen before or can't wrap my head around that well. I should probably start using a thesaurus^_^

Oh and I didn't know that about な-adj's!! thanks(:
