erm, how do i actually use あるけど properly in my sentences?

Depends what you're trying to say. If you're trying to say "there is something, but..." then it would be
家のにわに木があるけど、危ないから上れない。
There is a tree in my yard, but because it's dangerous, you can't climb it.

Is there another way that you wanted to use あるけど?
