A sentence from a song...

Postby Edvent » Mon 02.06.2006 6:08 pm

Hi all!
Once again a got a question about grammar...
Lately I took a look at a song from Ayumi Hamasaki and I was wondering about one line:

--> watashi no naka de kimi wa ikiru

wich should mean:

--> you live within me

But:

why is there a "de" after the "naka"? Shouldn't there be a "ni" instead?

Well, in this case I believe で is a place of action. So... to live is an action. This is why で and に are easy to confuse.
